I haven’t even listend yet
It’s so good even though I’ve never listened but I trust these reviews 💯. I am also currently fighting a dragon with a dog toy while learning to speak 4 languages and playing speed chess. The ads at the start are really getting me trough middle school depression.

Jon Hagadorns material never fails to please! This podcast as well as his many other shows has given me many hours of entertainment. Jon’s voice is perfect, it’s like he’s sitting at my kitchen table, very engaging!

A gift I continue to enjoy
I have been a listener for years to many of the stories Posted in Mr Hagadorn’s ‘1001 stories’ podcast network and I enjoy them all. I’ve been educated, entertained and challenged. I now am familiar with stories I’d only heard of, and am more appreciative of why these stories are classics and their authors are acclaimed. I look forward to taking the long way home and hope for red lights so I can hear the whole story!
Two thumbs up. I’ll be a listener for years to come.

Trying to fine book
Great story for 4th of July. Trying to find the book story about. Truly hate to see all our old Vets leaving us. My fathers generation who sacrificed so much for our and the worlds freedom.

The Beasts of Tarzan
This is fabulous!! Thank you Jon for doing such a wonderful job reading the stories. You make all the characters in the story come alive. I had never heard this Tarzan story. Your reading of this tale I was able to feel like part of the story. Thanks again. Always Claire Placentia California

Always worth listening
Host has a great technique of making the stories come alive through his reading of the material. The real treasure of this podcast is the selection of stories shared. They are usually older gems without the ring of familiarity and are riveting to the listener. I have binge listened to 1001 on long car rides, plane trips and working on in the garage when I need to stay awake. Thanks.

Mark of Zorro is wonderful!!
I am thoroughly enjoying this rendition of Mark of Zorro! The narrator does a commendable job with all the characters and of course the famous tale itself lends itself quite well to verbal exposition. Great work indeed!

I Love the 1001 Network!
I discovered these gems almost six months ago so this review is definitely overdue. Jon Hagadorn does an amazing job telling and reading stories across this vast network! From authors and writers Robert Louis Stevenson, Mark Twain, Lucy Maud Montgomery, HP Lovecraft, Jack London, and Algernon Blackwood to the classic radio broadcasts on 1001 Radio Days (Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar is an American classic), Jon offers more than enough content to keep you engaged and entertained while working, exercising, cleaning the house, to taking a walk. Don’t even worry about the occasional mispronounced word, it is as endearing as Jon’s lovable personality!

1001 short stories for the road
These stories are always fun to listen to. They are interesting and not the same stuff that is usually heard. All of the 1001 stories pods are fun to listen to as I am walking my dogs. Keep up the good work.

Jon, Thank you for the great stories. I absolutely loved Mr. Standfast! ( Confession: I couldn’t wait to hear the final 2 chapters and ended up reading them myself! ….I did listen to them from you a week or two later) Great stories! I’m a full time mom of 5 children and I don’t read as much as I would like to. Your podcast(s) are wonderful and I’ve gotten to enjoy so many great authors and revisit classics I read back in school. Keep up the great work! ( PS. Have you ever read the Scarlet Pimpernel? I don’t know if it’s one you would be able to do (public domain?) but it’s a good one )

Can’t wait till Monday!
I used to not be a big fan of Mondays for the usual reasons. Now it’s become one of my favorite days, the 1001 podcasts come in! I’m subscribed to them all. Great Stories for My Commute!
I love the stories you choose, and John’s voice is great for reading aloud! Listening to your podcast makes my 45-minute commute much more enjoyable. In the way of constructive criticism, pronunciation needs a lot of work. For example, the “s” in “cease” is pronounced with a hard “s” sound, not a “z” sound. There is also an unnatural emphasis placed on many pronouns that breaks the natural flow of the story.
