Fantastic, plowing through all these episodes.
What took me so long to find this? Great and varied topics, with awesome delivery. The thing I like most is that you can tell that Jon has a real interest in the stories, and is thrilled to be sharing them with us. Love it and have been telling all my friends. Thank you, Robert Hammond

A good man
Keep up the good work

One of my favorite podcasts!
I listen to a variety of podcasts, and the 1001 family of podcasts rank as my most-listened to. It all started here with 1001 Heroes... Many of the stories gain my interest by title alone. And many times the stories are ones I want to get to the bottom of- even if I did not know about it before listening. Jon Hagadorn is very easy to listen to, and the podcast is always informative. Great for medium to long car rides.

Passionate
This is what I consider a real, pure, and passionate podcast done by an individual who loves to read. He has great taste is his selection of authors. He reminds me of Peter Falk reading to his grandson in the movie Princess Bride.

Excellent!!
I’ve been listening to all of the 1001 podcasts for close to a year, they’ve become my go-to anytime I can sneak away. I’m partial to the “Heroes” series & have broadened my knowledge immensely. Mr. Hagadorn does such a great job in sharing his research on a variety of subjects. You’ll come to look forward to Sunday nights, the sound of his voice, and new adventures! Thank you for your hard work.

Fantastic fantastic
Imagine for a moment that your grandpa is awesome and he has great stories to tell you around the campfire- 1001 stories to be exact!

On Wisconsin!
Love your podcasts!! Always enjoy them. However, in the most recent one about the Mines you mentioned that Geronimo called Annie Oakley Little Miss Sureshot, I believe that was Sitting Bull of the Hunkpapas.

One of the best history podcasts.
Covers a lot of different topics in history. Easy to follow and listen too.

Compelling
Just the kind of content I wanted

Makes the day, less mundane.
I work waste disposal, and when I’m in the frigid weather and getting soaked, your podcast takes my mind, to a place in history, where I can’t feel the muscle aches and cold. Thank you.

Music bed
Love this podcast but not crazy about the background music selections during Jon's narration. Need less intrusive choices or none at all. I really did not want to complain because of my appreciation for the hours and hours of listening enjoyment this show has given me. Just a little constructive criticism. Keep 'em coming please.

Educational and interesting
This podcast has a lot of facts, mysteries and ideas that are little known and I would recommend this to a lot of young people who I thing should here this over the secular version of it

A real treasure
John, thank you so much for curating such a wonderful group of stories and presenting them so expertly. It is a real joy to discover writers and stories that I would have otherwise overlooked. DanP Laguna Beach CA

Sparks my curiosity
A vast treasure trove of interesting and often fascinating stories, quite a few are new to me. Well done, thanks.

Great alternative
I love history podcast and I’m a big Dan Carlin fan. Those are awesome deep dives into every aspect of a topic. This podcast is like having a friend say “have you ever heard this story?” I love that I can listen to so many different stories I didn’t really know about. He has also made me search for more information on a topic. I have been listening for a week straight. Great stuff.

Outstanding!!!
Spectacular!

1001 Heroes is the Gold standard
Jon Hagadorn’s story telling abilities are unparalleled. He has a way of making you feel you are in the same room with the protagonist. Each podcast is consistently excellent but the stories of Joan of Ark and later Eugene Bullard were so good I was on the edge of my seat! This is the Gold standard of adventure podcasting.

Doesn’t get better than Johns podcasts
The consistent quality of Histories and mysteries has long been a gold standard for me when selecting other podcasts for my library. Hence the compact size of my library!! Thanks so much for all your work. Mainer Dave

The Best
Wonderful stories on a wide variety of subjects. John has great enthusiasm and brings so much pleasure to his listeners. I’m thankful for his dedication to bringing excellence to his podcasts! Kudos.

Outstanding storyteller!!
He does his homework and gets the facts from multiple sources. I travel a lot for work so I try to download the stories that pertain to the area that I’ll be. I love them all!! He has a great voice and I enjoy hearing his input on certain things when he offers his point of view. He does try to stay as impartial as possible, which I really appreciate. Great work!!🐾

Best Ever
I’ve been listening to this podcast for a while now. Mr. John does a great job, I recently listened to the series he did on the Battle of Little Big Horn it was excellent. All of his podcasts are family friendly and he has a great narrating voice. Thanks John Keep yo the great content 😎

Fascinating History
One of the best historical podcasts. Interesting unique subjects.

Just the facts, ma’am
I love the way you can hear his enthusiasm for the subject through the airways. Still, he presents the facts, straight forward, as they happened. If he has an opinion, he will state it as such, which allows you to take that part or leave. As for the review that didn’t like any ads, which is most likely everone, I have a handy dandy volume control on the side of my device, it works so much better than complaining-just saying.

Five stars
This is so good. I love all the stories.

Fantastic
Just listened to all three of the Battle of Little Bighorn episodes and thoroughly enjoyed them. It’s apparent the host has a great grasp of the material, and he knows how to relate it in a compelling way. Well done.

Not interested!!
These are some things that I care not a wit: UFO stories. Baseball stories. Obscure Naval battles. These are the things I have thoroughly enjoyed on this podcast: UFO stories. Baseball stories. Obscure Naval battles. I have been dragged, unwillingly mind you, into broadening the depth of my character. Thanks John for the great job. I came for the Classic Short Stories and stayed for Shoeless Joe. Who woulda thunk it?

Truth about history
I love it! He will tell it like it was and not back down to the culture of political correctness. Finally a history podcast that is in the center and not left leaning. Thank you

Very entertaining
I’m always looking forward to the next episode, well laid out and historically accurate. Thanks for all the great shows!

The best content available for inquiring minds.
I’ve listened to lots of good podcast hosts and presenters but none of them retain my attention like Jon Hagadorn with his 1001 stories networks. I thoroughly enjoy the variety of topics that he covers because they are extremely well researched and narrated. I especially enjoy his commentary. He has a natural radio voice that captures the attention of his audience with excellent inflection, pausing, and other speaking attributes which make him, in my opinion, one of the best podcast hosts and presenters available today. I recently started downloading his stories for the road series and find them very entertaining. One of them, by Agatha Christie, showed his ability to assume a characters persona. His mimicry of accents was spot on. His 1001 stories network has a plethora of topics for everyone to enjoy. Listening in will bring you back to the days of radio shows from eons ago. Remember when the a.m. stations used to broadcast stories and shows at night? Well you can get that and more at anytime of the day. I hope you folks enjoy listening to Jon Hagadorn present his many shows as much as I do.

Excellent, just excellent
I run each day approximately 10 miles and I’m always looking for an interesting podcast to take along with me. I just started listening to this podcast series... and my oh my... this is just excellent. So well researched and narrated. I started with the 3 part Custer series... and I was so pleased with the way the story was handled. Great job! I can’t wait to listen to more!! Be safe and be well!! Thank you for presenting American history in such a magnificent manner!
