Great episode!

Truth & Sanity
Sticks to historical fact. I listen to many historical podcast on the same subjects John covers. John by far goes into more depth. John truly is an American hero. Political correctness is for those that want to white wash history. This incentivizes the ‘learned’ a context to change history. Every historical figure you can make a villain or a hero. Christopher Columbus is a perfect example. He has extensive journals he kept and if you want the true story read hid journals. Not from someone that wants to change “Columbus Day” to “Indigenous Day” because he’s a mass murder. This is a perfect example where John would cover the highs and lows of Columbus, not a historian that has skewed privilege view where they drink their $12 Starbucks pick-me up and watch nonsensical IQ reducing tik-toks point of view. Keep packing the TRUTH JOHN!!!!!!!!!

Still a fan
As always, love these shows, Jon. Your 1001 podcasts are a family favorite. My two sons (ages 13 and 11) especially enjoy the history they learn. Thank you! Keep up the good work!

Stories
Love all these series

Hope you don’t run out of stories!
One episode after the next is nothing but fascinating and interesting stories. Absolutely love it!

Papa Stevens
Excellent stories and very entertaining. Once you get started you will find it hard to pause it when needed. Johns presentation and attention to the details when telling the stores makes the stories come to life. Ive shared this podcast with several friends and each time they thanked me for the suggestion saying they have gotten hooked too. Great job John.

History wow!!
Love listening to your podcast on history!! Great stories I would have never heard anywhere else, silky smooth voice, amazing!!! Thanks for making my workday worth working!!!

Well researched podcast
Great podcast with a great selection of material. Everything is well researched and I appreciate that. It’s clear that Mr Hagedorn is well rounded in his knowledge and interests; this show is no one-trick pony! Keep up the good work!

Fantastic!
Jon Hagadorns material never fails to please! This podcast as well as his many other shows has given me many hours of entertainment. Jon’s voice is perfect, it’s like he’s sitting at my kitchen table, very engaging!

Outstanding
John Been listening for a while now to 1001 heroes. Thought you did an outstanding job on the July 13 episode with Sam Mitchum. As a older listener whose great-great grandfather was a poor Mississippian who fought & was wounded in the Civil War, this episode was of particular interest to me. Kudos to you for bringing these historical backstories to life in such a interesting way. Not bad for a damnyankee 😉😉 Also enjoyed the latest “lost mines” episodes. Keep up the good work. LaBlue

1001 Heroes Series
Both my wife and I really love these podcasts. We often listen to them while on car trips together. We especially like your straightforward tone and non-revisionist style. History is what it is, not what we think it should have been through our current lens, as that lens will constantly change.

Lusitania
I’ve been enjoying the podcast about the Lusitania. Never heard much about this ship. John makes history fun to listen to and learn from. I especially enjoy anything world war 2. Keep up the great work John

1001 Heroes is a great podcast

The best!
John does his homework and presents his material as a master storyteller. The episodes are educational, interesting and the sound effects help to place you “in the story”. I am very happy that John has multiple different podcasts (Hero’s, Sherlock Holmes, Stories for the Road etc.) as I am rapidly moving through all of his work. Lastly, John reminds me of my Swedish grandfather who was a brilliant, soothing and charming storyteller. Thank you John Fire Captain Bill N

Entertaining, educational and amazing human drama
Can’t get enough of John Hagadorn, thank you for the ongoing treasure trove of human history. Please do a narration of the May 1972 Sunshine Mine disaster where 91 miners died and two were rescued after surviving two weeks 1600 meters underground in Idaho. The book “The Deep Dark” details the harrowing human drama. Thank you Art Almquist DeBary, Florida

Awesome
Great podcast. I love the lost treasure stories the most but nearly all the stories told on this podcast are crazy good!

Easy Listening
I particularly LOVED the episode of the generational breakdown! So much interesting info, thank you!

Great way to spend time driving!
I haul equipment for the local John Deere dealer. I travel all over Montana and there are a lot of dead spots out here. I’m glad to have your stories to fill in the quite scenery. I enjoy history and you Sir tell a good factual story. I enjoy your pod casts very much. Please keep ‘em coming! MT Trucking Cowboy

My 2 cents
Love the stories and the host. Background sound effects are way too loud. They drown out the host. Please turn them down or stop using them all together.

One of the best podcasts I’ve heard!
I enjoy every second. It’s an engaging style that is enthralling and informative. One suggestion: we pronounce my state of Oregon as “Ory-gun,” not “ Ore-Gone.” ☺️

Very Impressive Jon
I've heard and seen several documentaries done of the Dyatlov Pass mystery. However, none have come close to the amount of information Jon provides. Same goes for the Bridey Murphy episodes. Jon's research is impeccable. Love this podcast. Thanks.

My favorite podcast
Love this podcast because it always supplements info on historical topics I thought I knew pretty well, and brings up new topics to me that typically stirs an interest in knowing more. Thank you for your hard work in creating these great podcasts!

Off the Charts GOOD!
Well done, John! This Podcast is OFF THE CHARTS GOOD! The variety of topics is astounding. And the quality of coverage for each is equally astounding. Worth binging from start to finish.

Great Podcast!!
Great Podcast!! Perhaps a name change to 10,001 ??

Good stuff
But seriously. It’s Arnhem. Not arnheim. Otherwise I loved this two parter on market garden. That was absurdly distracting.

Fenomenal
This show is fantastic. I am kept entertained and always wanting more. It’s educational and narrator sets the tone for right fir listeners. I enjoy it. Thank you.

Great podcast!!
This has been a very enjoyable podcast thus far. The presenter is well-versed, he has a great speaking voice & the topics are wide-ranged & usually very interesting. Keep up the good work, sir!

Simply the Best HistoryPodcast!
I find myself wishing that the podcast would go on for hours!
