A wonderful addition to my nightly routine
I have always enjoyed the tales of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson ever since I was a little girl. Now these wonderfully animated characters have made their way into my nightly routine. I often listen to true crime podcasts, but at night I try to wind down with stories that are a little bit softer in tune. I turn on this podcast to wind down, and sometimes I even fall asleep to the soothing voices! (That’s why I always put a sleep timer on. I don’t want to miss the story). Thank you for bring Holmes, Watson, and crew to life every week.

Voice of deduction

Wonderful stories
I thank you enough, Jon, for all of the amazing stories you have read for the podcast. I have been a listener for a few years now, and, unlike other podcasts, haven’t gotten tired of it yet! You have a great voice for Sherlock and I am always at the edge of my seat when I listen. Thanks again for the great stories. Keep up the great work!

Great Entertainment
I found the podcast searching for a good story. I got hooked! I love these Sherlock stories, and John, the host and narrator, is excellent. It took me a bit to get used to his voice, but that’s just because it’s not how I would have thought the characters to sound like. Now, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Love 1001 pod cast

Favorite Holmes Podcast!
This is my favorite Holmes Podcast I’ve found. Even now when I read Holmes stories, your voices for Watson and Sherlock are the ones I hear in my head. Nice work!

Amazing stories
I’m a photographer and I love to listen while I’m editing my photos. Also, while cleaning my house. I love the adventures that Dr. Watson and Sherlock take us in. Thank you for Reading the stories with so much enthusiasm and creativity. It keeps me entertained for hours. And now that I’ve listen to all of them I have to wait every Sunday for a new one. :) I’m actually going back and listening to some of the older one all over again. My top podcast for sure!

Switching up podcasts and found yours!
As someone whose father recorded for radio and the blind, I know the finished product belies the many hours to create a good voice line, so I thank you for your personally recorded narration. Love the Ads
I love that the old radio recordings still have the original advertisements from that era. “A cold is a miserable thing, a cold can be a dangerous thing ...” The dramatic voice makes me laugh.
I also enjoy the episodes that Jon reads! 👍

Love it
In a world of stark polarization, daily reminders of our whole world looking into the abyss, Sherlock Holmes and John H save the day…or at least the week! I get lost in these mysteries on my extended dog walks and look forward to them with (I wish there were more!) great anticipation. Thanks John!!

Great for our family road trip

Enjoyable to listen to while exercising.
The quick pace with which Holmes solves and Jon reads helps keep my pace on my morning elliptical routine. Definitely helps keep me entertained and moving. And who isn’t enthralled by Doyle’s most famous and shrewd detective. Thank you!

1001 Sherlock Holmes Stories
My review of these stories is a very positive one. While I do miss the sound of a true British accent of the narrator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories never disappoint me. I’ve collected every narration of every version offered in the public domain. I am a very happy listener. ❤️🌹🇺🇸

Great stories
I love the 1001 series all are great to listen to while walking my dogs. I get a lot of variety depending on how I am feeling as to what I listen. Plus they all are well read. Thank you for your work.

Long-time listener
So enjoy ALL of the 1001 series. Jon feels like the familiar voice of a friend. Often browse new stories series, but seldom find any as well done as yours. Would love to hear “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court” in the longer series format, “1001 Stories for the Road”. Keep up your wonderful work; it’s a fine gift for your many listeners.
