"The Story of the Four Chaplains"- Of the 920 men who left NewYork  on the U.S.A.T. Dorchester on january 23rd, 1943, only 230 survived the torpedo attack brought upon them by a German u-boat. Four chaplains accompanied 668 men on their way to frigid, watery graves along with the ship. Had it not been for the incredible heroism of these chaplains, the number of dead would certainly have been much higher.
